Compatibility of FOSS Licenses
Typical Software S (proprietary or not) - an application or a library - links against several other libraries L1, L2, …, Ln. A license compliance check
- determines the actual license for each component S, L1, L2, …, Ln, and
- whether the combination of the licenses of all components S, L1, L2, …, Ln is legal and desirable.
The table shows the resulting license of combining two libraries or an application with a library.
